Thanks,
This is a great idea. We need a community where we can share what we learn with others. I have little exposure to other Access Developers in contracts since they usually only hire me so this is a great way to connect.
I can get things to work, but I know very little about Visual Basic. I know only things like DoCmd.Maximize and I can write some simple things to change the foreground and background. Otherwise, I know just about nothing. I am really looking for some help and am willing to pay a normal developer's fee for advice and work. If you are interested, or know anybody, please let me know.
I have Access 2007, but I am using Access 2003. I threw away my Visual Basic 6.0 discs by mistake a few years ago because I did not know I needed them to download MS Access Developer. Do you know where I can get a copy of Visual Basic 6.0. Actually, I think I have a copy on a laptop, but I don't know if I can move the entire program.
Thank you very much.
Leonard.
Nice to hear from you -- thanks for the welcome. I'm not a 'heads down' developer anymore, since my job entails a lot of business analyst tasks and user interaction. But I have periods where I put user needs into specs and then develop MS Access applications for their needs. I love MSAccess to solve business problems for small businesses or depts within a large company. There's SO MUCH one can do with Access, that I am always interested in learning more. I stumbled on this site thru a Google MSAccess/VBA update I get daily.
Thanks for the welcome. I am still finding my feet at the moment around this site. I would be glad of any assistance to point me in any directions Thanks Bob
Hey!
How come? found your msg same with what I would like talk to... thanks make me copy paste cause english is not my lang but understood -:)
I started years ago with Access when it first came out. Built a small one for a client and it never stopped after that. I still have clients that started using my services over 16 years ago.
Thanks for your comment. One of the reason I joined this group is becasue when I just started out as a developer I had allot of help from the old pros that had no problem helping a newbe learn the skills that promote our field. Some have even shared code with me. I want to return the favor. I also have a bit of a selfish reason. Every developer needs help once in a wile. Noone knows everything and I am sure I will come up against a new sitiuation I have never delt with. It is nice to come to a place like this with other develpers that are willing to share. We help each other out and it makes us all stronger developers.
Thanks for the welcome. I posted a question on the forum. I'm probably going to be a 'needy' member on this site. I'm new to programing, and have no formal training or education on it.
Patrick, THANKS!!
It's great to have one listing of all these resources. I've visited most of these sites, and Allen Browne's is great, as is The Access Web. Although I've found sometimes it's difficult to zero in on specific development feature th…

Hello Stephanie,
I apologize, I replied to your question a few weeks ago about Richard Rost's online courses. But I don't see my reply posted here. Richard has short free targeted demos, and he also has more extensive targeted courses that you can…
I am new to this group but I can see that there is enough expertise here that we who are able can take turns writing tips - articles, etc. sharing our knowledge. If we could assess the knowledge we have among ourselves then someone could organize a…
