WELCOME

This community is for anyone involved in working with Microsoft Access databases. It doesn't matter if you are a first time user or have been developing for years.

Yes, we are new but we encourage you to join and get involved. We need your help to build a fantastic resource for everyone.

So, post your questions, and share your expertise, solutions and fixes.

If you have tutorial videos or links to similar, add them to our Videos section. Post related photos to our Photos section.

We will be posting anything we find that may help you develop whatever it is you are working on so check back regularly to see what is new.

What Groups do we need?
We are very interested in your suggestions about which Groups we need to create. Please provide your comments in our forum.

Do you get that sinking feeling?

I hate this...you are working away and Access dies. I mean dies. It just shuts down. No apparent reason, and nothing you are doing seems to have caused it.

This happened to me a little while ago. I was typing code and in a blink Access was gone.

There's that sinking feeling. Your stomach sinks to the bottom of the ocean and you feel sick...CORRUPTION.

So what next. Well, thankfully, there didn't seem to be any major problem. I repaired it just to be sure, recompiled, rebuilt and everything se… Continue

Anyway, I had to work a little on Sunday and upload a new version to a client. At least I can sit in my office and login to their server to do it. No need to get dressed up and drive there for a 20 minute job. All went fine for a change.

Then a little work on a database I hope to make available for purchase on my company website. Mmm...I am currently trying… Continue

Intro to my Blog

This post is just an introduction to what I intend to do here. Nothing Earth shattering, just a running insight to what I do for a living, developing Access databases.

At the moment I am developing in 2000 and 2003, mainly because of existing clients and most new clients are still running these versions. The other reason is I am not comfy with 2007 at this time. 2002 never really got a look in with me.

Don't hold your breath for daily updates here as I have no idea how often they will be. You… Continue
