I hate this...you are working away and Access dies. I mean dies. It just shuts down. No apparent reason, and nothing you are doing seems to have caused it. This happened to me a little while ago. I was typing code and in a blink Access was gone. There's that sinking feeling. Your stomach sinks to the bottom of the ocean and you feel sick...CORRUPTION. So what next. It was a miserable weekend, wet and windy, though probably not raining over the damn dams. What does a city do when it runs out of water? Anyway, I had to work a little on Sunday and upload a new version to a client. At least I can sit in my office and login to their server to do it. No need to get dressed up and drive there for a 20 minute job. All went fine for a change. Then a little work on a database I hope to make available for purchase on my company website. This post is just an introduction to what I intend to do here. Nothing Earth shattering, just a running insight to what I do for a living, developing Access databases. At the moment I am developing in 2000 and 2003, mainly because of existing clients and most new clients are still running these versions.
